CuteSITE Builder Web Designs
(If you've read these instructions before, you can skip straight to the list of designs.)
[Note: CuteSITE Builder has been discontinued. Although the program remains completely usable for those who already have it, it's no longer available to purchase or download. Because of this, I've put a hold on making new web designs for the program.]
Something special--and free!--for users of the CuteSITE Builder program: A variety of web designs to download, compatible with CSB4 and CSB5. Since the program is no longer available to buy, I haven't been adding any new designs. But, at least for now, I'm leaving the current ones posted. If you're a CSB user and have a request for a type of design you'd like to have, contact me. Unless it's something outrageous, I won't charge for it; I love making CSB web designs, and wish I had more reasons to do so.
These web designs are compatible with CuteSITE Builder versions 4 and 5, and are free to download, use, and even pass on to other CSB users. The only stipulation is that you not sell them or charge for their use. If you use a design on a website, a link back to this site would be appreciated.
Clicking on the title of a design below will take you to the home page of a small subdirectory made with that design, so you can see it full-size and in action. There are sample pages of all the CSB layout types (home, text, presentation, etc.)
On the home page of each "mini-site" are two download links: one for the web design itself (a .tld file) and one for the matching thumbnail (a .bmp file). If you download both of these into the same folder on your hard drive, the thumbnail will be visible in the preview window when you use the "choose web design" feature in CSB and browse to the matching design file. The design file is perfectly functional by itself, but without the thumbnail file the preview window will be empty when you browse to that design. Important note: For a .tld file, choose "Save" in the download dialogue box. For a .bmp file, right click on the image and save it as a .bmp (a .png will not work).
GlobalSCAPE suggests that you download these to the program's web design folder, but if you do so remember to save a backup if you ever have to re-download the program or the design will be gone. You can save them in any folder, such as the Trellix folder in "My Documents," and browse to them using the "other" selection in CSB's "choose web design" feature (as opposed to the "Web Documents Designs" selection).
As with the backgrounds available on this site, these designs are things I do for the enjoyment of working with the colors and patterns, so you might not find much that's suitable for business or tech sites, and you won't find any cool animated graphics. But if you find something that simply doesn't work properly, either in a download or in the design itself, please let me know. Since I'm a "pure" CSB user (code? FTP? what're those?), the files for these are all inserted using CSB's file download links, which are not the most elegant way of doing it. But, hey, they work! Just be sure to save both files for a design (the .tld and the .bmp) into the same folder on your hard drive.
